Confidentiality
I keep all shared information and written records in strict confidence. No one will be informed of your phone calls, emails, Skype sessions or visits without your full knowledge or your written permission.

However, below are the circumstances which force me not to abide by the mentioned rule:

1- I may occasionally find it helpful to consult other health or mental health professionals about a case without revealing your identity.

2- If a person is threatening to physically harm other people.

3- If a person intends to harm him/herself, I will make every effort to ensure his/her safety. If one does not cooperate, I will take further measures without one’s permission because I have legal and ethical responsibility to protect him/her.

4- If I suspect that a child, a dependent adult, or an elderly is being abused.

5- If a person is involved in a court proceeding and a request is made for information concerning their diagnosis and treatment.

6- If a person files a complaint or lawsuit against me, I may disclose relevant information regarding that person in order to defend myself.

If any of these situations arise, I will make every effort to fully discuss it with you before taking any action.
